About us

Authentic Creativity

In the midst of modern life', I find a balance through living intentionally, filling my home—a sanctuary of love—with designs and objects that quietly empower and reflect a life rooted in authenticity and care for the planet and each other.

Rediscovering Creativity Through Colour

After the stillness of the pandemic, I sought ways to reconnect and rediscover creativity with people. A weaving course became my starting point, one that opened unexpected doors. We learned to create and colour our yarn, transferring those designs to fabric and then weaving the strips together. I encountered a playful dance with colour and texture that mesmerised me.

Painting and Printing

These feelings that I felt during the process was a sense of belonging. I fell in love. The freedom I felt while painting and printing was intoxicating. As I played with the flow of ink and brush strokes allowing colour to lead the way, the results were nothing short of magical. Vibrant, mesmerising hues bursting with life. This wasn’t just craft; it was alchemy.

Inspired by Artists of African and Caribbean Descent

Inspired by the works of Artists of African and Caribbean descent such as Frank Bowling, Aubrey Williams, Althea McNish, Robert Earl Paige, Joel Robinson, and Lois Mailou Jones, I found a place for this expression in a lineage of creators who use colour and textiles as their canvas. Their artistry gave me the courage to lean into my own, shaping designs born from abstraction and spontaneity - producing Home textiles.

Marogmi was Born

At my kitchen table the spark for Marogmi truly ignited. I saw how my designs connected with others. Encouragement led me to translate this love of colour and pattern into kitchen linens and home textiles. And so, a celebration of vibrant design and thoughtful creation, crafted to enrich the rhythm of daily life with home, dining and kitchen textiles that feel intentional, timeless, and deeply personal. It is this that I share with you.
